Becoming a fiddle player

my fiddle

I started learning to play the fiddle when I was seven. I go to a group every week (not at the moment!) and I’ve been enjoying practicing a lot during lockdown. The type of music I play is Irish Traditional and Scottish Traditional, which includes reels, polkas and jigs and many more types of tunes. Learning to play the fiddle is tricky, but worth it! My wee brother plays as well, so we sometimes practice playing together.

Here’s a tune I’ve been practising. It’s called The Silver Spear.
